president obama has signed the emergency declaration for connecticut to bring in resources. >> good news. anna, thanks. our chief meteorologist rick reichmuth in the fox extreme weather center. we understand there's another severe weather threat. >> it's not for the northeast. i'll start with the northeast and that storm that's severe is going to be into the underneath northeast tomorrow and rain. it's not severe but rain. molly was talking about a warmup. the temperatures look pretty good. the problem is with the rain, even though the temperatures are warmer, because it's rain, the rain is going to fall on the snow and suck up the rain like a sponge and get very hard. today has to be the day you shovel your roofs because tomorrow, add the weight of the water and likely roofs will collapse. today's the day you do your work. it's a nice day. do everything you can. this is a look at that storm you see temperatures getting above freezing for the most part for everybody. it's overnight tonight into tomorrow morning we start to see this move in. starting as a little bit of freezing rain mixin

and president obama releasing some records is a positive first step. but there's going to be a president after president obama. and who knows how that leader will handle these serious matters. there must be consistency from one administration to the next. even though i trust president obama. if we set a president now, are we going to live with that if the next president is someone we don't agree with? no matter the politics, that's the question we should think about. policy should be around the precedent we set. no president should be able to go unchecked. i was opposed to it under bush. i'm opposed to it now. i'm afraid for the future. we must watch this carefully. i'm a.m. sharpton, thanks for watching. of it. i hear often from radio listeners who sense a hypocrisy in that they see the obama administration being critical of harsh interrogation methods but going along with the drone program. is there some inherent hypocrisy in that? >> well, there was an interesting statistic in the first year of the obama administration. i think -- or perhaps over the first couple of years in the administration. he authorized more drone strikes and more people were killed in drone strikes that he authorized than the total number of people that had before passed through guantanamo bay. that crystallizes that hypocrisy people talk about. >> you could also argue that we know drone strikes work. you know, the jury still seems like it's out with regard to harsh interrogation methods, but drone strikes work. >> in terms of the morality, you know, if you determine that there are threats out there, there are bad guys that you need to take off the battlefield but you can't go there, you can't go to pakistan, you can't go to certain places, then what alternative do you have if you can't capture them? in other wor

secretary of defense. his record of service to this country is untarnished. 12 days later president obama's support for his qualified nominee is still strong. 12 days later the majority of senators still support his confirmation. senate republicans have delayed for the better part of two weeks for one reason: partisanship. at a time when our nation faces threats abroad -- and that's an understatement -- there is a fair and constructive confirmation process. politically motivated delays send a terrible signal to our allies around the world and they send a terrible signal to tens of thousands of americans serving in afghanistan, other parts of the world and people serving in the united states. for the sake of national security it is time to set aside partisanship. the three days across-the-board cuts to defense spending are scheduled to take effect. the pentagon needs a seasoned leader to diplomat these cuts, cuts for which an overwhelmingly majority of republicans in congress voted. the so-called sequester, mr. president, was supported by 174 republicans in the house of representatives, 28
